| Bruyère Foundation Proud Recipient of Dragon Boat Funds |

The Bruyère Foundation has been selected as one of only seven coveted charities to receive funds generated from the Ottawa Dragon Boat Foundation’s 2010 Pledge Challenge.
“We’re so honoured to be chosen as a recipient and to be associated with such a reputable organization and event,” says Bruyère Foundation President, Amy Desjardins.
In 1998, a charitable component was added to the Ottawa Dragon Boat Race Festival raising funds for local charities on an annual basis. The Ottawa Dragon Boat Foundation was established in 2003 to help focus and grow the level of community support.
The 2010 Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival, North America’s largest dragon boat festival, will run from June 18-20, 2010.
The Bruyère Foundation will receive $30,000 a year for the next three years. This money will support the Elisabeth Bruyère Geriatric Day Hospital.
