Munson dietitian shares tips on lean meats and produce preparation
Preparing a heart-healthy meal is easy and can be tasty. The Health Education Institute, a partnership between Northwestern Michigan College and Munson Medical Center, offers a class with clinical dietitian Laura McCain on heart-healthy cooking.
Participants will learn how prepare lean meats and produce for tasty dishes from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, at Northwest Michigan College's Oleson Center kitchen. McCain will explain searing, braising, and roasting methods for meat preparation. Participants also will explore preparing fresh produce with heart-healthy oils.
