Dietitian offers nutrition tips for kids, parents, and caregivers
Busy families often find their plate full with activities. Preparing children for school, taking them to after-school sports and band practice, helping them with homework and then finding quality family time takes a lot of effort. Providing healthy foods for these busy lifestyles sometimes becomes a challenge.
Munson Medical Center registered dietitian Diane Roach, R.D., will present a program with nutrition tips for busy families from 6 - 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, at the Munson Community Health Library.
"Parents need to ensure their children are eating healthy foods," Roach said. "This includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus a few nutritious snacks." Often when time runs out, compromises are made at mealtime. In addition to nutrition tips, Roach will offer easy ways to help families improve their lifestyle choices.
Roach has worked as a registered dietitian with Munson Healthcare for 25 years. She is an outpatient nutrition counselor at Munson Community Health Center and the dietitian for the Youth Working on Wellness program.
