Wesham Hospital built in 2001 is part of the Blackpool Fylde and Wyre Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and is situated in the rural area of Kirkham and Wesham close to the junction 3 of the M55 motorway between Preston and Blackpool.
The unit has 40 comfortable single, double and four-bedded en-suite rooms, each with bathing facilities, television, radio, nurse-call systems and up-to-date moving and handling equipment. Corridors from the bedrooms lead to the communal dining and lounge area. This forms the heart of the unit and incorporates a central nurses station. The lounge area leads to a conservatory, which overlooks the landscape gardens.
Our team of senior nursing sisters staff nurses and HCA’s are dedicated to providing a relaxing and therapeutic environment that is dedicated to promoting the physical and emotional recovery of patients to allow them - as far as possible – to retain or recover their independence.
