HANFORD - Adventist Health will wrap up its Breast Cancer Awareness Month activities with an event focused on educating the community about the disease. Local physicians and American Cancer Society representatives will provide information on breast cancer prevention, detection, services and treatment.
Breast Cancer, Hope and Awareness, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, at the B.E.C. Auditorium, 1100 W. Lacey Blvd, Hanford.
Speakers and topics will include:
Dr. Jose T. Aranez, Jr., obstetrician/gynecologist – Breast Care and Diagnosis
Dr. Amber Arlington , radiation oncologist – Radiation and Chemotherapy Treatments
Dr. Monte Austin, general surgeon - Biopsy and Surgical Treatments
The American Cancer Society will provide information about the many cancer support services available in Hanford. The event is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served. No registration is required.
