Seven Regions Health Centre was established in 1974. The health centre is comprised of an acute care hospital (14 beds), Third Crossing Manor personal care home (50 beds), a medical clinic with 4 doctors who also visit Sandy Bay 3 times per week, a contract dentist, physiotherapy weekly, lab and imaging, a community health services department which offers community mental health, public health, Families First, staff education, continuing care. Acute care and Emergency services at Seven Regional Health Centre are currently under indefinite curtailment; however, this site continues to provide waiting placement, palliative, respite and convalescent care. The centre also manages two elderly persons residences – Centennial Apartments with 24 suites and Crescent Lodge with 16 suites. An emergency medical station is on-site at Gladstone and the other station, Kinosota Trails, is located on # 50 Highway, just at the entrance to Sandy Bay First Nation.
Approximately 160 staff members are employed throughout the health centre. The dedicated staff maintains a tradition of providing quality care in the familiar setting of ‘home’.
