Cameron Regional Medical Center takes pride in serving as the cornerstone of health care services for Cameron, Missouri and the surrounding counties. Offering a comprehensive range of programs, the Medical Center is progressive in its approach and dedicated to continuing its long-standing tradition of providing quality health care services to its patients.
More than 50 years ago, Cameron Community Hospital began life in a house deeded over to the City of Cameron by the Kansas City-St Joseph Catholic Diocese for use as a health care facility. In 1955, the old CCH facility was erected, followed by periodic improvements and additions over the years.
The new Cameron Regional Medical Center opened its doors on August 1, 2002, melding its proud past with an exciting future. The prime location at the southeast corner of Interstate 35 and BB Highway provides high visibility and easy access. With 60 acres on which to expand, the Medical Center has completed two adjacent medical office buildings.
The new $11 million hospital is a 60,800 square foot, one-story, 58-bed facility with technologically-advanced equipment and new furnishings. Cameron Regional has 33 medical/surgical beds, six inpatient rehabilitation beds, five ICU cubicles, six ER treatment bays, and ten GeroPsychiatric beds. Additional amenities include a chapel, two interior courtyards, and a helipad. Another step in the growth and regionalization process of Cameron Regional Medical Center unfolded when a beautiful new Obstetrical Unit with four LDRPs opened in October 2005.
The Cameron Regional Medical Center Home Health Agency, In-Home Services, Comfort Care Hospice, and Helping Hand Personal Services also play an important role in assuring that a complete scope of professional medical services is available to the residents of rural northwest Missouri. For the convenience of the patient, supplementary health services are provided by twelve satellite clinics located throughout Caldwell, Clinton, Daviess, and DeKalb counties.
