Our History of Health and Healing
Opening the Doors to Health and Healing
Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center opened its doors December 1, 2004 to serve the growing northwest metropolitan area of Denver. A part of the not-for-profit Exempla Healthcare family, which includes Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver and Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge, Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center provides comprehensive medical care in a specially designed healing environment to our community. The primary service area includes Boulder, Broomfield, Weld and Adams Counties.
Expanding to meet community demand
In 2006, Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center expanded its size by adding 32 additional patient rooms to meet the needs of the community. The hospital now has 202 patient rooms, with the capability of expanding to 350 patient rooms. Plans are underway for an additional expansion in 2008
Patient safety - our greatest priority
Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center utilizes an electronic medical record, which reduces errors through computerized physician order entry and clinical documentation. EGSMC is among a small minority (approximately 3%) of hospitals in the nation who are utilizing computerized order entry, which significantly reduces medical errors
