In the early 1900's the idea of a hospital in Jefferson County was nothing more than a dream. But Mattie Crawford of Pine Bluff breathed life into that dream, and she dedicated her life to seeing the Davis Hospital become part of the community. 100 years later, through name changes and expansions, Mattie's dream is alive and well at JRMC and continues to drive the course of healthcare in Southeast Arkansas. In 2008, we will celebrate our anniversary and share with you 100 years of memories about the people and accomplishments that contributed to A Century of Caring - The Experience of Yesterday and the Promise of Tomorrow.
JRMC is licensed for 471 beds. It is a not-for-profit, private regional hospital, licensed by the Arkansas State Health Department and accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
From primary care to a full range of specialties, JRMC has brought together physicians from the nation's finest medical schools to care for the people of South Arkansas.
