History Of Frome Valley Medical Centre
The Practice was formed by Dr Donald Brown in the early 1950's, practicing from a converted bungalow in Clyde Road, Frampton Cotterell. As the practice expanded, other partners were appointed and the practice split into two sites, 'Witney Mead' at 4 Rectory Road, Frampton Cotterell and 'Saffron' at 7 Hicks Common Road, Winterbourne.
In 2000 the Practice moved to purpose built premises in a converted farmhouse at Court Road, an appointment system was introduced and a wider team of staff developed.
