The practice has been established since l964 and has grown steadily from two partners at its inception to the current seven partners, one assistant GP and a nurse practitioner.
Our aim is to offer a high quality and up-to-date family doctor service. We hope that you will find all of us friendly, helpful and efficient.
To this end we have extended and modernised the surgery to provide extra consulting rooms for physiotherapists and other professionals and an expanded nursing suite where our nurses run regular health promotion clincs, carry out many nursing procedures and assist the doctors with their minor operations. The health visitors are on site, enabling them to work alongside the doctors, district nurses, practice nurses and other healthcare professionals, and our nurse practitioner offers her own minor illness clinic.
For those confined to their own home and in need of nursing care, the two district nurses and their assistant can be contacted at their office at the surgery.
Behind the scenes the expanded administration area allows the staff to go about the day-to-day running of the practice in the most efficient way, providing them with easy access to records and appropriate use of computers.
We have a large car park, easy access for the elderly and disabled, and a large waiting room with a children’s play area and baby changing facilities. There is a separate entrance at the far end of the building (complete with outside buggy park) for access to the health visitors and the baby clinic.
Most importantly, we are here to help you. So if you have any queries, suggestions or problems, please ask to speak to the practice manager or the assistant practice manager.
