Applications are invited for two Specialty Doctor, equivalent to Associate Specialist level, in Ophthalmology. The post holders will assist in providing a clinical service in Ophthalmology to the population of West Dorset and the adjoining areas. This will include undertaking outpatient clinics, including casualty clinics, daytime independent operating lists and being part of the on-call rota.
If you would like to build good working relations with a highly motivated multidisciplinary team, have willingness to build effective working relationships on an individual and multi-professional basis, coming to West Dorset could be for you.
The Trust provides excellent facilities to a large rural population of 220,000 and for the past two years has been a three star trust and has recently achieved Foundation Trust Status. Housing 500 beds, Dorset County Hospital is a new hospital located in Dorchester, which is within an area of outstanding natural beauty near the Jurassic Coast. There are excellent recreational facilities and it is a popular family holiday destination. Good educational facilities are available in both the public and private sectors. Providing a comprehensive service for the population of West Dorset, you would be involved in developing and delivering the service for this part of the county.
