History Of South and Central Health Foundation
The South and Central Health Foundation was formed in 1983. It is a provincially incorporated entity and it is also a registered charity with registration # 1191 56909 RR0001.
For over twenty five years the South and Central Health Foundation has partnered with its donors in the southern and central regions of Newfoundland to assist the former Central West Health Corporation, and the present Central Regional Health Authority, to provide the best possible health care services. The Foundation has done this by funding “priority one” medical and related equipment. To date we have raised more than $8 million for new healthcare equipment and technology.
The objective of the South and Central Health Foundation is to assist Central Health in providing the best health programs and services as close to home as possible. We are proud to play such an active role in the provision of state-of-the-art medicine. With the help of our donors we know that our efforts have tremendously improved healthcare in our region.
