The ProFile Canada database was conceptualized and developed in the late 1980‘s as an alternative to the then existing B2B marketing databases.
For years, the key available business databases provided minimal company information. ProFile Canada improved on the traditional databases by going beyond basic company data by providing a more complete portrait of an organization including: company name, address, phone number, sales revenue, number of employee numbers, website address, product/service description to name a few.
By the mid 1990‘s ProFile Canada had established itself as the premier B2B database for leading Canadian companies. In 2001 ProFile Canada was acquired by Owen Media Partners (OMP), a leading Toronto based B2B publisher. OMP‘s strengths in database management, research and sales, coupled with in-house developed software made ProFile Canada a perfect addition to the OMP group of companies.
