** Our Mission, Values and Vision **
Introduction
Concordia Hospital was founded in 1928 by Mennonite immigrants from Russia. Motivated by the blessing of being able to come to Canada and seeing the need for health care within the growing immigrant community, they began with a four-bed maternity hospital. This grew to become the present Concordia organization, comprising Concordia Hospital, Concordia Place, and the Concordia Village housing project.
Concordia's mission, vision, and values arise from this Anabaptist/Mennonite heritage, and from a commitment to mutual aid through compassionate service and caring for those in need all in the name of Christ. Our focus is on healing all those we serve. Our faith sustains us in our work. We believe that even when a cure is not possible, spiritual, emotional, and relational healing can still take place. All members of our multi-disciplinary team are highly valued for their roles in bringing healing to those we serve.

History Of Concordia Hospital
In spring 1998 the Manitoba Government invited Concordia Hospital to build a personal care home next to the hospital.
The hospital accepted the invitation, and on May 10, 2000, Concordia Place opened with 140 beds.
